Brigham Young University’s newly rebuilt 43,000-square foot Cannon Center houses the state-of-the-art dining at the Commons at the Cannon. The new building features a food preparation facility and serving area, large common/media room, lobby and lounge, mini convenience store, and several offices for BYU’s dining service employees. The facility operates under a conscious and conservative mind. While it operates seven days a week, a zero-waste policy pulps all food scraps for use in fertilizer while used cooking oil is turned into biodiesel. Wilkinson Electric is proud to have been a part of the continued campus growth continually happening on Brigham Young University’s Campus. The project was recognized by the Associated Builders and Contractors, Inc. for the 2008 Institutional over $10-million.
