The Tanner building is a project to remember, as it marks Wilkinson Electric’s first Northern Utah projects that sprouted new opportunity and propelled the growth of its company. It was one of the largest projects to date that Wilkinson was prepared to tackle, with construction beginning in 1980 at an electrical cost of a little over $1-million dollars. This projected opened new territory for Wilkinson Electric on many frontiers. Today Wilkinson Electric has had steady work partnering with Brigham Young University for now more than 37 years and completed a wide array of projects.
The seven-story, 120,000-square foot granite building houses classrooms and administrative offices for the Marriott School of Management on the Brigham Young University campus in Provo, UT. Its construction completed in late 1982 and was dedicated April 5th, 1983 by President Gordon B. Hinckley.
