The 196,680-square foot Mapleton Jr. High School has 18 acres of playing field area, 2 full gyms, and a “cafetorium” designed for space where students will each lunch and also be able to attend assemblies. There are 2 computer classrooms, 2 business labs, 1 media center, and plenty of classrooms to accommodate the schools more than 1100 students in the 7th, 8th, & 9th grade. The school was designed with plenty of windows to allow a lot of natural light into its design keeping the building both aesthetically pleasing and functional. The electrical was designed to meet the technological needs of today to include plenty of workstations for computer use, and will also allow for technological upgrades in the future.
